Education and Experience
- Typically BS/BA with minimum 6 years’ experience.
- Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Usual office environment conditions; ability to travel internationally at least 20%.
- Supervisory and Budget Responsibility
- May supervise one or more staff members.

This is a one year contract, subject to extension depended on funding and performance
Salary indication: starting salary 3.150 EUR/month gross for a full-time equivalent, based on experience plus standard benefits (22 days of annual leave, end-of-year office closure, double vacation pay, meal vouchers, life insurance, hospitalisation insurance transport allocation)

Description
Communications Officer - ConnexUs
WASHINGTON DC, USA OR BRUSSELS, BELGIUM /INSTITUTIONAL LEARNING – WASHINGTON DC - HQ /FULL TIME - INTERNATIONAL
Team Summary:
The Institutional Learning Team is composed of a global technical team working to support quality of the evidence Search’s programs generate across the world, promote best practices in research, learning, and evaluation, and contribute learning in partnership with other organizations for the broader field. The Institutional Learning Team has also developed platforms for innovation and sharing to elevate a diverse set of voices to lead in our field through DME for Peace, ConnexUs, and several communities of practice. The team is led by the Director of the Institutional Learning Team under the leadership of the Vice President of Strategy Alignment. It is global, dynamic, diverse, and engaged at multiple levels of the organization and with external partners.
Responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day maintenance of the ConnexUs platform
- Host and facilitate live events
- Develop communication and dissemination strategies to make evidence, learning, and key resources, more accessible to practitioners around the world.
- Support communities of practice associated with other Search projects as well as the Institutional Learning Team’s external communications, integrating learning across a range of projects.
Contributions:
- Support and develop the ConnexUs platform to promote learning and connection.
- Demonstrate Search’s thought leadership in the peacebuilding field.
- Maintain the ConnexUs website and coordinate all communications tied to the platform.
- Develop an audience engagement strategy that connects partner organisations and solicits input from the wider field, content and communications calendars, social media management, email outreach, and identification of potential collaboration opportunities with the ultimate goal of growing the platform.
- Review and respond to daily requests for membership and questions or comments from community members on the platform.
- Draft quarterly reports on the platform’s progress, platform analytics, and performance metrics.
- Design and implement communication strategies for the future ConnexUs platform, as well as for key learning products that are produced by Search’s Institutional Learning Team, including and not limited to, graphic summaries and data visualizations.
- Turn dense concepts and data into accessible and digestible content.
- Infuses organizational values into all work.
- Other duties that are broadly in line with the above key contributions as assigned.
