- Studies level : N/A
- At least 1 year of MSF experience in a supply position.
- Fluent English and French
- Organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks and respect deadlines.
- Supply Chain technics (warehousing, transport, customs, Information System, demand planning, procurement, customer service, supply process)
- Adaptability and flexibility, autonomous, good communication skills, pedagogical and didactic skills, diplomacy, high availability in traveling.
- Adhere to the MSF principles and our managerial values: Respect, Transparency, Integrity, Accountability, Trust and Empowerment.
CONDITIONS

- Work place (when not on the field): Brussels - Ready to travel 50% of the time

Description
CONTEXT
Driven by MSF’s goals, the OCB Supply chain’s mission is to enable humanitarian action and provide reliable supply chain solutions. It comprises several sites, in each mission on the field (projects and capital), with MSF Supply its European Supply Center, and the Kenya Supply Unit its regional hub. The Supply Chain Department defines the global strategy of this supply chain, pilots its performance, and ensures that each site has the relevant support for its development.
The supply chain back office aims to professionalize each technical domain by:
- Define and Provide frameworks to be adapted to contextual specificities, support the SCOs and Supply field to ensure that the sustainable and coherent supply chain solutions are in place for each context.
- Define technical skills and competencies. With the support of the learning officer, build up the learning path for his/her technical domains.
- Provide appropriate support in order to respond to operational needs (proactive and reactive).
- Build up, motivate and facilitate network of experts.
This should privilege polyvalent approach for support to match better with constrains of the field.
Under the supervision of the Back office (BO) , the Supply Polyvalent Technician participate to the improvement of the OCB supply chain at field level and on all domains (ordering, stock management, transport customs…) through direct support (proactive and reactive) given to the mission and active participation to specific projects (elaboration of tools, development and facilitation of training modules…).
The position aims to spend 50% of its time in the field
Work must be therefore done in close collaboration with the technical referents ensuring objectives for each domain are aligned, Supply Chain Officers to ensure operational needs are well identified and Learning officer.
JOB PROFILE
- As member of the Supply Chain back office, participate to the elaboration of the annual objectives and action plan in order to express better the needs of the missions and provide the right technical support to develop.
- On request from operations, and base on specific TOR, give support (visit, coaching, training, evaluation…) to all OCB the missions and all Supply Chain domains applying defined standards and processes and adapting them to the reality of each country.
- Following annual objectives of the back office and in collaboration with technical referents are in charge of/participate to the elaboration documents/tools of reference.
- Participate to the development and facilitation of training modules. Can also be in charge of full development of delocalized trainings.
- In collaboration with the other technical referents, participate to the diffusion and deployment of policies, procedures and tools, play a role of ambassador of the Supply Chain department to explain and promote strategy and objectives of the department towards external partners.
