Description
INFORMATIONS ABOUT THE ORGANISATION
The Junior Programme, executed by Enabel, offers the opportunity for talented young people of various origin, gender and education backgrounds to contribute professionally to international solidarity projects. Through their experience they develop the competences to actively and sustainably engage in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. The Junior Programme aims to make them active and critical global citizens who are committed to the SDGs.
The Junior Experts work at least 1 and at most 2 years in a project of Enabel or of one of the Non-governmental Actors (NGA) that are affiliated with the Junior Programme.
The Junior Programme only accepts young people aged 30 at most.
CONTEXT
Enabel Uganda has launched its first thematic portfolio on social protection and decent work. In that framework, a new approach on social protection and decent work has been designed to address the global challenge of social and economic inequalities. The aim is to create and enhance decent employment for youth and women in agriculture, tourism and the green economy. Rights at work for formal and informal workers are better respected. Workers and their families have increased access to existing social protection, including health and maternity risks. Policy development and national dialogue on decent work is strengthened through evidence based learning.
Function
The Junior Expert will develop an innovative monitoring and evaluation system by identifying and launching a tailored digital tool in the local context. This will ensure that the intervention has relevant information about impact/results and actually uses it for communication, decision making, learning and rendering accounts of results achieved.
