Qualifications
- Academic background in Information Knowledge management is a must
- Advanced communication skills
- Excellent French/English writting
- Computer skills: proficiency in O365, MS Office Suite, good knowledge of information diffusion platforms (CMS, social media…)
Competencies
- Demonstrate creativity and the use of communication tools and practices
- Some experience in project and change management and in the use of tools and software packages
- Ability to adapt quickly and respond to changing work situations and priorities
- Good communication, problem solving and analytical skills
Description
“RAISON D’ETRE”, MISSION AND NATURE OF THE FUNCTION
MSF is looking for support for its medical department in the area of Information and Knowledge Management. This is a critical area of work to support the organisation and accessibility of information at all levels of the organisation but especially staff who are working in countries where MSF provides assistance. This volume of knowledge is produced, collected and shared through a multitude of tools and platforms. The aim of the IKM work is to support accessibility of this knowledge and enhance engagement and exchange.
The projects in the medical department belonging to the information and knowledge management sphere include: Knowledge base, Record management, Taxonomy, Community of Practice, Editing, Induction/onboarding and Learning, and a new intranet. Moreover, all these projects are linked or collaborate with other departments inside MSF (Learning & Development, ICT, Data and Record Management, etc.).
In collaboration and under the supervision of the Medical IKM Project manager:
The intern provides support for the following activities related to the Medical IKM.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
1. Collaborate in the development and implementation of the IKM projects and priorities:
- Intranet
- Contribute constructing Medical Topic and Transversal pages in the knowledge base
- Support development of procedures for validation/uploading content in intranet
- Induction/onboarding
- The IKM induction module
- Knowledge capture & creation:
- Translation / proofreading / edition / lay out / graphics: Support in define the processes and roles / responsibilities
- Support for navigation content
2. Communication :
- Support for communicating MED IKM projects in house and in the field
3. Information/ dissemination
- Support strategies for deployment of essential documents.
- Support to the dissemination of MED IKM tools (including record management, file-naming, use of SIILO, one-password...)
CONDITIONS
- 6 months internship contract (can be shorter) - Full time – internship with school convention
- Reimbursement (100%) of public transport costs in case of travels to the office
