REQUIREMENTS
Experience
- 3+ years' experience in communications roles, ideally with specific experience in change communication.
- Experience working in a large, complex organisation is essential; MSF (or other humanitarian) experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of and engagement with latest forms of digital, social media and technology-led communication methods.
- Experience in working with diverse cultures.
- Change Communications experience, ideally in organizational and/or process change.
- Experience in change management is a plus.
Competencies
- Project management skills with the ability to create and manage a communications schedule, prioritize work and deliver to deadline in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, confident to liaise with and influence on all levels, all staff, including senior managers; team player.
- Innovative & creative mindset to serve her/his communication tools, channels, etc.
- Excellent writing skills (EN/FR) with a proven ability to write, proof and edit clear and concise content to target and engage a wide variety of audiences.
Languages
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and good working knowledge of French. Any other language (Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic…) is an asset.
Description
The Change Communications Project Officer will lead/design and provide change communications throughout various phases of the larger operational change projects, currently ongoing (field recentralization, Mutualisation, Networked/Multi-Centred OD & Collaborative Leadership, Climate Environment & Health Programme). In close collaboration with these teams and the internal communication lead, s/he will develop communication strategies (campaign) to build understanding, awareness and support across key internal stakeholders, articulating in a clear manner the scope, objectives and anticipated results of these changes.
The Change Communications Project Officer is connected to both the change program teams (consultation group) and the internal communication manager in search for harmony & coherence with overall OCB communication messages.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implementation of a change communication strategy (campaign), in close coordination with the members of the change program teams to build awareness, involvement and understanding
- Creating engaging multi-way communications.
- Maintaining various information/communication channels for different stakeholder groups, including the intranet, newsletters, webinars, face to face meetings…;
- Assessing the effectiveness of communication delivered and take actions to improve where needed.
CONDITIONS
- Expected Starting Date: As soon as possible.
- Contract type: 5 months contract, full-time
- Location: Brussels (telework is an option for part of the time).
- Salary according to MSF-OCB HQ grid – Meal Vouchers – Hospital Insurance (DKV) – Pension Plan – 100% reimbursement for public transportation costs
