CORE COMPENTENCY REQUIREMENTS
- You have a relevant higher education degree or academic background
- At least 1-year of relevant experience (administrative coordination, acquisition/project management, communication) in the international development context
- Familiar with EU External Cooperation (EU funding programs and procurement procedures)
- Previous experience in marketing and social media activities
- Excellent command of French and English is a must (spoken and written)
- Multi-tasker, able to meet deadlines
- Good communication and networking skills
- Capacity to work autonomously as well as in a team
- Analytic, attention to detail, excellent organisational and writing skills
- You live inBrussels(or at daily travelling distance fromBrussels)

Description
MDF Brussels is the office specialised in EU External Cooperation:
- MDF Brussels is in charge of EU acquisition for the MDF group;
- in addition, MDF Brussels is specialised in training & consultancy in EU project management and EU procedures.
We contribute to capacity development through EU training programmes such as Methodological Support for Training on Project and Programme Management, former Aid Delivery Methods, and ECHO procedures. We deliver technical assistance for capacity development programmes in the field for – amongst others - NAO and Ministries, and we are a partner in several Framework Contracts. We organise Open Entry and Tailor Made courses in topics related to EU External Cooperation.
Our fields of expertise are: EU procedures (Grants, Procurement, Contracts and Decentralised Operations-Programme Estimates), Project and Programme Cycle Management including the various Aid Delivery Methods, Managing for Development Results, Institutional, Organisational and Human development and change.
Due to a partial replacement combined with an expansion of our activities – especially in the field of EU External Cooperation - MDF Brussels is recruiting a Polyvalent Project Support Officer
JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a challenging and polyvalent job, since it requires support to both the coordination of our training activities as well as to our marketing and acquisition activities, mainly in the field of EU External Cooperation. This job includes the following tasks and responsibilities:
Support to MDF Brussels training activities – you will handle the following tasks in an autonomous way:
- You coordinate and implement our related marketing activities, such as course leaflets, brochure, mailings
- You are responsible for keeping the MDF Brussels part of the MDF website up-to-date
- You are responsible for being active on social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) for MDF Brussels and MDF group in collaboration with other offices
- Respond to requests for standard and tailor-made training services
- You assist the consultants/trainers with the preparation and up-dating of training material, including preparing for printing, quality checks and logistics
Support to MDF Brussels acquisition and project management activities- you will provide hands-on support to our Acquisition unit:
- Prepare high-quality pre-qualifications in response to EU and other call for tenders;
- Assist in the management of our projects;
- Assist in the mobilisation of appropriate experts for our projects.
- Responsible for following up on Request for Services on EU framework contracts
