As EU Tax Power Advocacy Officer you will lead the development and implementation of our Europe advocacy strategy. Working in partnership with our International Secretariat and member countries you will gather intelligence on EU tax and development finance issues to feed into our larger strategy as well as design and execute EU level tax work. Working with campaign colleagues, you will coordinate our public messaging on tax policies, ensure that policy positions are well-represented in relevant European media as well as develop relationships with allies and leverage opportunities for common policy advocacy actions. You will act as our main representative on tax matters in Brussels as well as in other political and NGO fora. You will make sure our profile and standing are strong as well as liaise with the supporter mobilisation team to connect the public with our policy work.
As well as having a deep understanding of EU policy and politics, candidates needs a good knowledge of international development issues and a strong interest in human rights. Strong advocacy skills must be complemented by a good understanding of tax policy. An excellent networking ability, strong public speaking and communications skills are required. A graduate you will have a high standard of English and a second European language such as French would be an advantage.
