REQUIREMENTS
Education and experience:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field such as statistics, data science, psychology, or education
Minimum of 3 years of experience in data management and analysis, preferably in an L&D or HR-related function
Experience designing and administering surveys and conducting qualitative data analysis using tools and software designed for qualitative data analysis (NVivo, Atlas.ti, Dedoose, Qualcoder, QCoder, etc.)
Experience working with learning management systems (LMS) or other learning technology platforms is an asset
Competencies:
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (R, Python, STATA, SAS, etc.)
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is an asset
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly communicate data insights to non-technical stakeholders
Strong project management skills are an asset
Aptitude for effective dialogue with various stakeholders
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Interest and motivation to work within a humanitarian organization and MSF
Languages:
Fluent in English (written & spoken)
Knowledge of French is an asset
Description
CONTEXT
The current MSF Operational Center of Brussels (OCB) operational and HR strategies (2020-2023) dictate the focus on learning and development for staff in our field projects. The People Development Hub aims to develop our workforce acquire the necessary competencies by providing learning opportunities, to acquire the necessary competencies to meet MSF’s operational needs and objectives.
The People Development Hub is looking for an Learning & Development (L&D) Data Analyst to establish a sustainable system gathering reliable and coherent data from our projects and HQ to analyze our needs, target groups and learning offer, guiding us in our decision-making.
The L&D Data Analyst is part of the L&D Innovation and Processes team, which fosters innovation and expertise in the different L&D domains, promotes good practices and processes and allows L&D to develop a MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning) approach.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As L&D Data Analyst you will be responsible for managing and analyzing data related to the People Development Hub in partnership with other data analysts within MSF. It involves working closely with the L&D team to identify data needs, designing data collection methods, analyzing data, and presenting insights and recommendations to able to take informed decisions. The ability to effectively communicate data insights, distilling complex information into clear and compelling narratives, using data visualization techniques, and engaging presentations, will be critical in influencing decision-making and driving meaningful change in our L&D initiatives.
Your main responsibilities are:
Collaborate with L&D and other relevant teams to ensure that resources match needs by using a data-driven approach to uncover new insights, solve problems and direct talent management activities
Design and implement both quantitative and qualitative data collection methods to gather relevant L&D data.
Collect and organize data using appropriate tools and systems
Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to L&D activities and initiatives
Utilize data visualization techniques to present complex findings in a clear, compelling, and actionable manner, including non-technical stakeholders.
Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and dashboards to effectively communicate data-driven insights to stakeholders.
Collaborate with the L&D team to translate insights into actionable recommendations that drive improvements in learning strategies and interventions.
Support monitoring and evaluation of L&D programs and initiatives through data analysis
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (HRIS, LMS, IT), in order to increase data quality collection and allowing a better tracking of learning
Work closely with subject matter experts to gain insights into specific learning domains and ensure data analysis aligns with their expertise.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in L&D data analysis, visualization, and communication.
Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative data analysis methods within the L&D function.
Share best practices and insights with the L&D team to foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
CONDITIONS
Expected starting date: September 2023
Location: Brussels (Belgium)
Mobility – 1 or 2 travels in Europe and in one of our missions
Contract type: Open ended contract – Full time – 50% of teleworking possible per week
Salary according to MSF-OCB HQ grid
