Responsibilities

• Support the development of a content strategy aligned with the overall communications strategy.
• Implement testing across all external communications channels and facilitate a process of continuous improvement based on insights gained from testing.
• Assist in the planning and execution of campaigns, including content creation, dissemination, and monitoring.
• Execute Search for Common Ground’s email strategy in Europe to keep supporters informed, including drafting content.

Working Conditions

Usual office environment in Brussels. Search for Common Ground Belgium currently has a policy requiring at least 2 days per week of presence in the office. 

Salary and Contract

The salary range for this position would be between 3.205 - 3.700 EU R gross per month, based on relevant experience, with standard benefits: 22 days of annual leave, end-of-year office closure, double vacation pay, meal vouchers (Eur 7,- per worked day), life insurance, hospitalization, dental and ambulatory health insurances, disability insurance, contribution to mobile phone use, transport allocation, home office allowance and a contribution to a private pension fund.

Climate Action Network (CAN) Europe is Europe's largest coalition working on climate and energy issues. With over 200 member organisations in more than 40 European countries – representing over 40 million citizens - CAN Europe works to prevent dangerous climate change and promote sustainable climate and energy policy in Europe.

 

We're currently seeking a committed and motivated individual with demonstrated experience in fundraising to work with us on fundraising strategy development & implementation; partnership building; fundraising and reporting (coordination) for the Secretariat and other processes relating to supporting and framing the operations with CAN Europe. The position is full-time or 4/5ths, while being based in Belgium and working from our offices in Brussels, with teleworking authorised.

 

Required skills and experiences:

 

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in fundraising, donor management or in a related role;
• In-depth knowledge of the philanthropic and institutional funding landscape for Europe (including EU funding programmes and foundations funding European NGOs),
• Excellent level of written and spoken English, with good proofreading ability;
• Outstanding communication and networking skills; proven ability to form good working relations, both internally and externally;
• Experience in creative proposal writing combined with the ability to structure impacts, outcomes and outputs (chain of results);
• Understanding of NGO finances and budget: comfortable enough with figures to manipulate, present and negotiate budgets;

• This position will focus on maintaining and continuing existing streams of funding and on conceptualising and establishing new opportunities for funding and building on the capacity of our CAN Europe network (see job description).

Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Operations and Communications Manager, and in direct collaboration with the rest of the team, you:

• Contribute directly to the development and ensure regular updates of the external funding strategy, in line with the Strategic framework, operational plan and related work-plans and priorities of CIDSE;
• Manage existing external grants and projects, including reporting and donor relations where necessary;
• Are responsible for scanning the funding environment to identify new funding opportunities, developing and drafting proposals and grant applications, as well as reporting on external funding received through various sources;
• Support your colleagues in developing their own capacity with regards to external funding, proposal development, and reporting and monitoring of funded projects;
• Explore and propose opportunities for joint funding initiatives within the CIDSE network and with allies;

CONTEXTE

Le Hub humanitaire est un consortium d'ONG actuellement dirigé par Médecins du Monde, Médecins Sans Frontières, la Croix-Rouge de Belgique, la Plateforme Citoyenne de Soutien aux Réfugiés et SOS Jeunes. Le projet a été lancé en septembre 2017 pour répondre aux besoins croissants des migrants particulièrement vulnérables.

Chaque organisation poursuit des objectifs complémentaires afin de répondre aux besoins des personnes sans-abri présentes à Bruxelles en leur offrant un accès à des services pluridisciplinaires de première nécessité, un accompagnement et une orientation adaptés.

L'ESSENTIEL

L'objectif général de ce rôle est de soutenir le coordinateur logistique dans la gestion de la sécurité, en contribuant au suivi quotidien conformément aux protocoles, normes et procédures du HUB Humanitaire afin d'assurer le bon fonctionnement de la stratégie de réduction des risques du projet.

La fonction est sous la supervision hiérarchique du Coordinateur Logistique du HUB et assure une supervision de 7/8 staff.

PRINCIPALES TACHES ET RESPONSABILITES

En tant que Gestionnaire d’équipe : vous coordonnez le travail des différents collaborateurs sous votre ligne hiérarchique, assurer leur bien-être au travail et renforcez la collaboration, afin de garantir un cadre de travail optimal en fonction des moyens et priorités établies.
Exemple de tâches

• Participe à l’organisation de formations sécurité pour le reste de l’équipe et les agents de sécurité
• Favorise et développe l’aspect préventif par un climat de confiance et une communication bienveillante avec les bénéficiaires.

En tant que Gestionnaire sécurité et prévention : assurer la promotion et le respect du règlement d’ordre intérieure du Hub, déminer des situations conflictuelles et faciliter l’accès aux servies, la communication et la médiation avec et entre les bénéficiaires.
Exemple de tâches

• Supporte le Coordinateur logistique dans le développement, l’implémentation, la gestion des flux et de la sécurité au sein du HUB.
• Organise et gère les briefings sur la sécurité, le contexte du projet et des bénéficiaires, l’approche de médiation et les mesures préventives concernant la sécurité.
• Gestion des incidents/accidents, gestion des conflits, prise de décision sur les exclusions et exceptions au besoin, gestion des flux, gestion des évacuations.
• Fait le suivi des incidents : rapports, dépôt de plainte, contact avec la police, etc. sous la supervision du Coordinateur logistique.
• Assure une veille et rapporte les éléments clés au Coordinateur logistique (analyse de la sécurité, des risques, du contexte, des besoins, des feedbacks des bénéficiaires etc.).
• Identifier les vulnérabilités actuelles et potentielles dans les procédures opérationnelles standard du projet en matière de sécurité. Proposer et appliquer, en accord avec les responsables opérationnels, les améliorations nécessaires au plan de sécurité du projet.
• En collaboration avec le.a MEAL Officer pour le Hub Humanitaire, l’équipe de coordination et les autres collègues pertinents, assure la récolte de données qualitatives et quantitatives sur la fréquentation et les activités du Hub Humanitaire.

En tant que membre de l’équipe sécurité du HUB :
Exemple de tâches

• Réfléchir avec le personnel et les volontaires du Hub humanitaire pour adapter les activités et les messages afin d'assurer le bon déroulement des activités, de les rendre culturellement acceptables, d'éviter les malentendus et d'améliorer la fourniture de services de qualité.
• Participe aux prises de décisions stratégiques et à la mise en place de protocoles concernant la sécurité et la prévention au sein du HUB.
• Participe aux réunions d’équipes, formations et supervision requises par le projet.

NOUS OFFRONS

• Une fonction enrichissante et essentielle au cœur des projets de Médecins du Monde Belgique.
• Un contrat de durée indéterminée à temps plein (39h/semaine).

• Un salaire brut de 3.315,55 € pour 2 années d’expérience ; un salaire brut de 3 413,07 € pour 5 années d’expérience ; un salaire brut de 3 575,59 € pour 10 années d’expérience. Expérience pertinente reconnue.

• Tickets restaurants 8€/j presté – Assurance hospitalisation - Remboursement à 100 % des frais de transport en commun.
• Congés : 20 jours légaux + 6 jours RTT + 4 jours extra légaux entre Noël et Nouvel an.
