Description
Climate Action Network Europe is proposing a full-time
1-year contract (replacement)

Climate Action Network (CAN) Europe is Europe's largest coalition fighting climate change. We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Energy Policy Coordinator - Coal and Nuclear (full time or part-time, minimum 80% FTE), to be based in Brussels or working remotely from a country within Europe, ideally within the EU.
Your tasks:

To this effect, you engage in relevant ongoing debates, write compelling position papers, factsheet and briefings and represent us in relation to external stakeholders. You are able to relate your knowledge to media and on social media
- Strategic coordination: You develop an overarching narrative, strategies and tactics in coordination with our members to accelerate a coal phase-out in the EU and beyond, to prevent a revival of nuclear and to ensure the transition to a 100% renewable energy system is just and fair. You identify opportunities to achieve policy changes in line with our demands, coordinate with our members and external partners to make the best use of opportunities and co-convene internal and external meetings dedicated to these issues.
- Fundraising and reporting: You contribute to fundraising efforts related to your policy files and regularly report on activities through the CAN Europe reporting system and for individual projects and grants as required.
