Profil
- Degree in Business Administration or equivalent (essential)
- Knowledge and understanding of development and humanitarian work, including affinity with the thematic areas of Oxfam’s work in the MENA region (preferable)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken; fluent English language skills; French language will be an asset.
- Accurate reporting skills and ability to gather and analyze large amounts of information.
- High level of tact and diplomacy and the ability to build good and effective relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders, including at senior levels - you will be the main point of contact for many clients.
- At least 2-3 years in a similar position or at an assistant programme level.

Oxfam is a world-wide development organization that mobilizes the power of people against poverty.
Preferably, the Regional Transition Group Support Officer (m/w) will work at Oxfam-Solidarity headquarter in Brussels. The proposed contract is a 2-days work contract of 15 hours/a week with regular travels. It has a fixed term for one year. Starting date : Mid-March 2016.
Job Purpose - Key Responsibilities :
The Regional Transition Group Support Officer provide support to the Regional Transition Group (RTG) Chair and the RTG to enable effective Governance of Oxfam’s work in the region and accompany the change process in the MENA region.He/she
- supports the MENA RTG Chair and the RTG to enable effective governance of Oxfam’s work in the region and timely implementation of the RTG plans and work.
- supports (at the direction of the RTG Chair) in preparing all RTG meetings, including monthly RTG telcons and bi-annual face to face meetings, organizing all logistics, agenda setting and distribution of documents;
- takes minutes of each meeting and designs and implements a system for follow up, monitoring and reporting of RTG decisions and plans;
- makes action lists and monitors the implementation of decisions.
- maintains an information system for monitoring Oxfam 2020 implementation in the region and provides support to the regional change manager as per management agreement.
- supports the RTG Chair and the RTG in planning and reporting to the Oxfam Programme Director;
- liaises closely with all RTG members, regional and country Directors, and other relevant stakeholders, and provide support as requested;
- Assumes responsibility for action points of the RTG and, if requested, drafts/prepares papers on the basis of directions (such as news items and communiqués) and makes sure they are distributed to relevant stakeholders and put on the Oxfam SUMUS website.
- collects, selects and provides information to RTG members and other relevant stakeholders. Maintains relevant databases of information; arranges documentation and archiving.
- Establish communication systems and practices in the region and ensure that information on OI work is communicated on a regular and timely basis (through SUMUS, email, other means).
- Collates and consolidates programme management information from the affiliates.
